Monrovia, April 11, 2019 – A fifteen-member high-level delegation from the Liberia Land Authority (LLA) and the Ministry of Internal Affairs leaves the country on April 12, 2019, for Sweden upon the invitation of Lantmäteriet, the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral, and Land Registration Authority.
The visit to Sweden is a knowledge-exchange tour to Lantmäteriet and is part of the inception phase of the five-year Capacity Building Project for inclusive Land Administration and Management in Liberia, which will begin full implementation in July of this Year.
The trip to Sweden by the Liberian delegation is covered exclusively within the institutional cooperation capacity building project, which is financed by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (SIDA).
While in Sweden, the delegation which comprised of LLA Commissioners and Executive Director, the Mayor of Barclayville and senior technical staff of the LLA, will discuss and share knowledge and experiences on a range of thematic areas, including communication and customer services, land use and physical planning, land registration and document management, cadastral services, legal frameworks, processes and quality assurance, among others.
The Liberian delegation is expected back in the country on April 27, 2019.
