Monrovia, June 28, 2019 – Three collaborating organizations and their partners working on land rights in Liberia have ended a National Information Sharing Conference, which participants rated as highly successful.

Monrovia, June 20, 2019 – The Liberia Land Authority (LLA) in collaboration with the Land Governance Support Activity (LGSA) on June 18, 2019 convened a one-day technical working session to review and validate the Customary Land Governance Regulations and Community By-laws Framework for the establishment and operationalization of the Community governance structures as required by the Land Rights Act (LRA).

Monrovia, June 16, 2019 – The Liberia Land Authority and three Liberian NGOs today signed a Memorandum of Understanding to implement the Land Rights Law of 2018. Under the MOU, the LLA and the NGOs will work with 24 communities in 8 counties to bring 2 million acres of land under full community ownership and control.

The Liberian Leader, His Excellency George Manneh Weah says the Land Rights Act (LRA) and the Local Government Act are currently being implemented.

Monrovia, May 27, 2019 – The Commissioner of the Independent Information Commission (IIC), Cllr. Mark Bedor-Wla Freeman says access to information is a peace-building tool that can be used to mitigate disputes particularly land-related disputes.
