November 18, 2022, Gbarnga:  The Liberia Land Authority (LLA) through the Land Use and Management Department with support from the Capacity Building for Inclusive Land Administration and Management Project (ILAMP), has ended a one-day stakeholder meeting at the headquarter of the Authority.

The one-day technical stakeholder engagement which was held to validate the Urban Planning (zoning of land uses) Regulation, brought together stakeholders that are involved in city planning and land use activities, including representatives from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), Monrovia City Corporation (MCC), Paynesville City Corporation (PCC), Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA), as well as city mayors, township commissioners and relevant senior management and technical staff of the LLA.

Speaking on behalf of the Commissioner for Land Use and Management, Hon. Ellen O. Pratt, Mr Samual Kpakio, Director for Land Use and Management, LLA, informed participants that at the end of the validation and the subsequent approval of the regulation, the document will be used to regulate the location and uses of buildings and structures, the nature and extent of uses of land, and the density of the population in accordance with the comprehensive plan developed to promote health, safety, morals and the general welfare of the cities within the Republic of Liberia.

However, a technical working session was held to enable participants to discuss lengthily the document.

The Liberia Land Authority remains committed to working with all. For all your land deed registration do not hesitate to visit the LLA offices across the country.
