The ceremony, held on the second floor of the Executive Mansion, was marked by a colorful display of national pride and attended by senior government officials. Among them was the Minister of State for Presidential Affairs, Hon. Samuel A. Stevquoah, who delivered remarks on behalf of the commissioned officials.
The newly commissioned LLA Commissioners include:
- Hon. Joe K. Williams, Vice-Chair and Commissioner for Administration and Customer Services
- Hon. Uriah Garsinii, Commissioner for Land Use and Management
Following the ceremony, Chairman Kpakio told reporters that he is grateful for the confidence President Boakai has placed in him and his colleagues. He reaffirmed the Authority’s commitment to supporting national development priorities, strengthening land administration systems, and addressing longstanding land disputes across Liberia. Chairman Kpakio also underscored the LLA’s dedication to ensuring the full and effective implementation of the country’s Land Rights Act of 2018 and other policies.
He highlighted the pivotal role the LLA continues to play in advancing land reform, promoting transparency, and ensuring equitable management in Liberia. He further expressed confidence that the Board of Commissioners will uphold the highest standards of accountability, professionalism, and public service in the execution of their duties.
The commissioning of the Board is regarded as a major milestone for the Liberia Land Authority, an institution central to promoting peace, fostering economic growth, and driving sustainable development through responsible land governance.
