LLA - Lantmäteriet Ends Two Days Workshop

November 10, 2022, Monrovia:  As 2023 draws closer, the Liberia Land Authority (LLA) with support from Lantmätariet, the Swedish Mapping, Cadastral and Land Registration Authority through the Capacity Building for Inclusive Land Administration and Management Project (ILAMP), has ended a two-day technical workshop under the theme, "Planning, Managing and Executing".

The two days workshop which was organised by the ILAMP-Liberia project team headed by Mr Christopher Byren, brought together members of the Board of Commissioners and directors of LLA, headed by LLA Chairman, Hon. Atty. J. Adams Manobah, Sr., and members of Lantmätariet Senior Management team headed by Lantmätariet Deputy Director General, Mr Anders Hundquist.

The two days of technical discussion between the LLA and Lantmätariet/ILAMP team focused on Lantmätariet's support for LLA's plans for 2023, which includes management roles and responsibilities, delegation, meeting structure, accountability, reporting, information flows, and as well as how the LLA annual planning cycle can be structured, implemented and monitored.

The event which began on November 8, 2022, and ended on November 9, 2022, was facilitated by Lantmätariet Deputy Director General, Mr Anders Hundquist and Mr Thomas Oberg, Divisional Manager, Lantmätariet, thus with technical support from the ILAMP project team comprising of Mr Christopher Byren, Project Manager, Maria Brander, Communication Expert and Asko Annala, Legal Expert.

The Liberia Land Authority remained committed to working with all its donor and implementing partners to ensure Liberia's land reform process remains on the right trajectory.
