The training which commenced on September 13, 2022, and ended on September 16, 2022, brought together over 25-Land Surveyors at the training hall of AME University-Main Campus.
The training focused on unambiguously referencing features (points, lines, and polygons) using a harmonized network of control points planted all over the country.
The training further sets the basis for all future surveys in Liberia to be done in a unified system. The training, which was conducted by IGNFI, a private international geospatial company from France succeeds the observation campaign and post-data processing operations which were earlier conducted in June 2022.
The geodetic network training will complement LLA Land Surveyors’ capacity for the accuracy of data collection and enhance their ability to properly identify parcels to avoid land conflicts in Liberia.
